This may be one the busiest kitchens we've ever had the pleasure of working on (and you'll never believe us from looking at the pictures, because everyone vacated to the back yard). On this particular day, the kitchen was bustling with the homeowner (who is pure sunshine in human form), her daughter, her dog, and her two very busy, very sweet twin grandsons. She needed a space that many people could use at once (her two youngest children still live at home with her and her husband and the rest of the family visits often--the grandsons are over almost every day)... and of course when people are in a kitchen so is the dog! They also needed lots of storage for tupperware, appliances like blenders and pancake griddles, and the endless food that it takes to feed a large family.
The homeowner wanted the space to be relaxed, sunny, and welcoming. Her choice of white cabinetry, silver handles, light blue walls and bright flooring were the perfect combination. She worked with our designer, John Moore, who also installed the kitchen. His easy-going nature was no doubt at home as he worked with this family.
The beautiful farmhouse sink almost makes you want to wash the dishes by hand, doesn't it?
