We want our customers to have an incredible experience and love their new IKAN kitchen.
IKAN was started by two friends who met in Camosun’s carpentry program in Victoria, BC. Kyler and Anthony had worked for a range of home-builders and installed many kitchens, and one day got talking about something that had struck both of them: The cost for a quality kitchen on the island was too high. Not long after that conversation Kyler installed an IKEA® kitchen and was impressed with the quality of the cabinets, the Blum hardware, the storage solutions, the customizable sizing, and the price point. And thus, IKAN was born. Today our team encompasses more than 15 people, including certified carpenters, designers, office team and a host of dogs to keep us company at our warehouse and showroom. We’ve installed over 2400 kitchens in Victoria and Nanaimo. If you’re interested in seeing what IKAN can do for you, book a free in-home consultation today.
IKEA® cabinets inspired us to create IKAN—we believe in the product. IKEA® cabinets rank highest in overall customer satisfaction among cabinet brands in the J.D. Power U.S. Kitchen Cabinet Satisfaction Study of 1,700 customers. The cabinetry is high in quality, design, and function, and it’s backed by a 25-year warranty, that’s most important in our books. Also, you can customize the cabinetry to fit your space at a fraction of the cost of a custom kitchen.
"Creating a kitchen is incredibly personal. Our designers work closely with clients to bring ideas together, to incorporate the client’s wish list, and to also create the most efficient use of space."– Kyler Davalovsky, Owner
We our community… and dogs
Small businesses play an important role in the communities of Victoria and Nanaimo, and we’re proud to be a part of that. This is why we work together with local businesses to bring you the highest quality cabinetry, lighting, counter-tops, and a range of door hardware. We know it’s our responsibility to give back, and some of the ways we do that is by supporting rescue animal shelters, along with community kitchen projects, so more people in our city can have nutritious meals.
"It's incredible to see the collaboration and support that runs through the team. It's as much of what motivates me as anything else."– Kyler Davalovsky, Owner
We our planet
We are working in a number of ways to minimize our business’s footprint. We utilize great software so our office is virtually paperless, we recycle and reuse everything we can, and we carpool when possible. Part of our draw to IKEA® kitchens is because of IKEA®’s commitment to the environment, which you can read about here.
